Majmudar & Co has appointed Rukshad Davar as a partner. He will be based in the firm’s Mumbai office and will handle corporate work, mergers and acquisitions, taxation and real estate matters.
Davar comes to the firm from Bharucha & Partners. He has over 10 years experience in advising on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, joint ventures, private equity investments, strategic investments, asset sale and purchase, slump sale and hive-offs, financings, external commercial borrowings, income tax, tax treaties and real property matters.
Davar has both Indian and UK qualifications and is also a qualified chartered accountant. He was formerly a senior associate at both Amarchand Mangaldas and at P&A Law Offices, and has also set up his own law firm in Mumbai, Rukshad Davar & Associates.
His clients have included the Thales Group of companies, the Rolta Group of companies, Microsoft, Dawnay Day, GVK Power & Infrastructure, Woodhead, Flextronics and Vertex.
