Full-service boutique firm Goswami & Nigam has been dissolved following the decision of its founding partners Himanshu Goswami and Nishant Nigam to pursue independent professional paths.

Goswami & Nigam was based in Gurugram, handling complex disputes, labour and employment, real estate, intellectual property and sophisticated corporate transactions, as well as cross-border advisory, for a diverse client base.

Following the dissolution, Goswami is now head of transaction and regulatory practice at the Dubai-based firm Khaled Al-Marri.

Speaking to India Business Law Journal, Goswami said, “I decided to merge my clientele and UAE practice with Khaled Al-Marri.

“This has given me a strong platform … since the firm has a full advocacy licence in the UAE, along with the right of audience before all courts in the country. Moreover, I am now a licensed legal professional by the Dubai Legal Affairs Department. Hence, this was a win-win situation for both, since I got the opportunity to be part of a robust and well-established legal entity in the UAE, and the firm was able to expand its scope of activities by also building its transaction and regulatory practice, which I now head.”

Goswami also plans to establish a new firm in India shortly, along with his partner Prableen Kaur Chandok. The new firm will be named H&P Law Associates, comprising a staff roster of 10 with two partners and eight associates.

For his part, Nigam has rebranded his practice as 3Sixty Law Group as part of an expansion into a multidisciplinary legal and consulting platform.

“Establishing 3Sixty Law Group represents a defining professional milestone for me,” said Nigam.

“Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of advising clients across a wide spectrum of legal and commercial challenges, and through that experience, a clear vision emerged for the kind of firm that I believe the market truly needs: one that is deeply specialised, strategically agile and uncompromisingly client-focused. The name 3Sixty is itself a statement of intent, a commitment to examining every dimension of a client’s situation before arriving at counsel.”

Nigam added, “3Sixty Law Group is currently led by me as the founding and managing partner, and we presently have co-practice heads for commercial litigation, IPR, real estate, data privacy and corporate advisory.

“Further, we are in the process of assembling a team that reflects the firm’s core ethos, sharp, versatile and deeply client-focused.”

3Sixty Law Group is envisioned as a specialised multi-service platform. Nigam will initially focus on his core areas of practice, including commercial arbitration and litigation, alongside labour, employment and industrial relations, and intellectual property enforcement.

“Year one is about planting the right flags. We are concentrating our energy on dispute resolution, labour & employment, corporate & commercial advisory, and intellectual property – areas where we have strong foundations and clear market demand,” said Nigam.

“The priority is building lasting client relationships and demonstrating the kind of work that speaks for itself. In the coming months, we will be focusing on building upon existing practice areas, and delving into new and diverse areas of law.”
