Kennedys has appointed Trevor Ho, from Australian law firm Colin Biggers & Paisley, as a partner in its financial lines practice in Singapore.
Ho joins from Australian law firm Colin Biggers & Paisley, where he spent more than six years at Colin Biggers & Paisley and most recently served as a partner.
“Trevor’s appointment aligns with Kennedys’ Asia- Pacific strategy of targeted growth through existing client demand,” Kennedys’ joint managing partner of the Singapore office Anita Quy told Asia Business Law Journal.
Bringing more than 20 years of experience, Ho specialises in claims involving professional negligence, financial services compliance and contractual disputes, as well as property damage, construction PI, industrial special risks, employment practices liability, and warranty and indemnity claims.
He also advises insurers on complex coverage of financial line issues and dispute resolution, and supports underwriters with policy drafting and interpretation.
Quy confirmed that Kennedys plans to continue expanding its financial lines practice in Singapore.
“We are committed to the financial lines sector within our insurance practice and will continue to increase the number of financial lines lawyers in our Singapore team to service our clients,” she said.
Kennedys has operated in Singapore since 2008 and established a joint law venture with Legal Solutions, known as Kennedys Legal Solutions, in 2015.
