Kennedys has strengthened its commercial disputes and regulatory capability in Hong Kong with the addition of partner Wilson Fung from Johnson Stokes & Master (JSM), marking a wider effort to expand the UK firm’s Asia corporate and commercial ranks.
Qualified in Hong Kong, Fung made partner at Mayer Brown in Hong Kong in 2022 after having served as a counsel for four years. Following the US firm’s split with JSM in December last year, Fung continued to serve as a partner at JSM until April this year.
Fung’s practice focuses on financial services regulatory disputes, as well as banking and enforcement litigation, regularly representing clients in investigations by Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission into various types of alleged market misconduct.
