JSA adds seven boosting equity partnership ranks to 66

JSA has promoted seven talented lawyers in a significant expansion of its equity partnership to 66 across offices and practice areas with effect from 1 April 2026.

Ajay G Prasad, Akshat Jain, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Brijita Prakash, Pratik Pawar, Ronak Ajmera and Shareen Gupta were all formerly retained partners before their promotion.

Prasad and Prakash are based in Bengaluru. Prasad is a corporate-commercial lawyer specialising in M&A, private equity, joint ventures and regulatory advisory. He is known for helping clients navigate 含羞草社区 legal framework with a focus on compliance and commercially sound structuring. Prakash is a property law specialist with deep experience in title diligence and transaction advisory for leading developers in Karnataka. She manages matters from initial title review through documentation and final closing.

Jain, who is based in the New Delhi office, focuses on sector-specific commercial disputes and regulatory proceedings before statutory authorities, tribunals and courts. His work spans commercial litigation and constitutional and administrative matters in the energy sector.

Sharma and Ajmera are based in Gurugram. Sharma specialises in real estate and corporate advisory, with extensive experience in due diligence and drafting property and development agreements. He works across real estate and township infrastructure projects.

Ajmera advises on domestic and cross-border M&A, restructurings, carve-outs, private equity and strategic investments. He also handles commercial contracting and broader corporate and regulatory matters.

Gupta and Pawar are based in Mumbai. Gupta is an indirect tax specialist with 19 years of experience in GST, customs and foreign trade policy advisory and litigation. She advises Indian and multinational clients across sectors, including financial services, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, construction and energy.

Pawar handles litigation and arbitration across corporate and commercial disputes, public trust matters and engineering and construction issues. He has represented clients before the Supreme Court, high courts, the , and in domestic and international arbitrations.

The equity partnership includes two women partners, reinforcing JSA’s commitment to diversity and promoting women into senior leadership roles.
