Kushal Ramotre has been appointed as a partner at JSA in the firm’s corporate practice at the Mumbai office.
Ramotre has more than a decade of experience in corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity investments, strategic partnerships and cross-border deals.
Before joining JSA, he served as director – corporate transactions at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in Mumbai. He has also worked with several leading law firms, including Trilegal, Acuity Law, BMR Legal and Indian Law Partners, advising on a broad range of high-value domestic and international matters.
Ramotre has advised on major transactions across infrastructure, renewable energy, technology, financial services and healthcare. His work includes advising Mavco Investments on a USD500 million acquisition of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy’s wind turbine business.
He has also worked with EssilorLuxottica on its strategic partnership with the Reliance Group, ByteDance on its investment in and exit from Dailyhunt, and KKR on its USD450 million investment in Hero Future Energies. Additionally, he has supported global investors such as Warburg Pincus, OMERS, Alibaba and Circulate Capital on major India-focused investments.
