TT&A and Pioneer Law Associates have advised International Finance Corporation (IFC) on term loans totalling USD14 million to Nepal’s Worldlink Communications and its subsidiary Data World.
Partners Gautam Saha and Nikhil Bahl led the TT&A team, with support from managing associate Siddharth Tandon and associate Maansi Mehta. Senior associate Daksh Middha also assisted. Pioneer Law counselled on Nepal law for IFC.
WorldLink is the largest internet and network service provider in Nepal and one of the country’s most prominent IT companies.
The IFC financing – with the support of the International Development Association’s private sector window local currency facility – aims to support the expansion of Nepal’s fibre networks and the development of data centres across the country, helping bridge the digital divide and drive inclusive development.
In addition, the IFC will provide a partial credit guarantee of up to USD12 million to help a local commercial bank extend debt financing to Worldlink and Data World.
