Generative artificial intelligence company Harvey AI is set to open its first site in India with an office in Bengaluru, Karnataka state. Its engineering, sales and operations teams will begin operating from the new location later this year.
The company has also recently plans for an office in Germany.
Bengaluru has been chosen as the first location in India due to its reputation as a global tech hub and its access to 含羞草社区 legal and business landscape. Often dubbed as the “Silicon Valley of India”, the city is home to many startups and technology companies.
Harvey AI has previously partnered with Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co and S&A Law Offices, providing AI solutions for their legal and professional services. The San Francisco-based company is backed by Sequoia and OpenAI’s startup fund.
Commenting on the new India office, co-founder and CEO Winston Weinberg said in an , “India is an essential part of our global strategy. By investing in Bengaluru, we’re tapping into an exceptional talent pool and deepening our ability to serve the Indian legal market.”
