DMD Advocates and Ascendus Law Partners have acted on Gruhas Proptech’s strategic investment into social commerce startup Broadway, which focuses on direct-to-consumer brands, for an undisclosed amount.
DMD Advocates advised Think9 Digital Consumer Brands, which promotes Broadway and other promoters on the legal documentation for the strategic investment
Ascendus Law Partners advised Gruhas Proptech, which is an investment firm led by Nikhil Kamath and Abhijeet Pai.
DMD partner Vihang Virkar led the transaction team alongside partner Monika Deshmukh, principal associate Pooja Shah and associate Vanshikha Choraria.
Vivek Biyani, Rana Daggubati, Anuj Kejriwal and Apurva Salarpuria co-founded Broadway in March 2023, which was launched under Think9, a Biyani family company promoting digital native brands. Broadway aims to facilitate the omnichannel transition of D2C brands through its superstores.
The collaboration between Broadway and Gruhas marks a significant milestone in the experiential commerce model, driving growth and fostering deeper consumer engagement.
