Dentons Link Legal has added two new partners, Kapil Chaudhary and Avisha Gupta, to its technology, media and telecoms and regulatory practice at the Delhi office.
Chaudhary joins the firm from Info Edge after more than 25 years of working as an in-house counsel, while Gupta has joined from Luthra and Luthra Law Offices.
Having previously worked in-house for corporates in India and Singapore, Chaudhary honed his skills at companies such as social media giant Twitter (now X), business technology company IBM, energy tech firm Schlumberger, and media outfit Star News among others.
Before joining Dentons Link Legal, he was the executive vice president – legal and general counsel at Info Edge, the company behind well-known names of job-hunting website Naukri.com, matrimonial website Jeevansathi.com, real estate website 99acres.com and education guidance website Shiksha.com.
Sharing his thoughts with India Business Law Journal, Chaudhary said “this transition represents a deliberate and strategic evolution in my career…[and] presents an immense opportunity to drive innovative solutions for clients navigating complex digital landscapes, while fostering cross-border collaborations.”
Gupta specialises in technology law and regulatory matters focusing on data protection, fintech, online gaming, and e-commerce.
She has advised clients from diverse industries such as digital payments, hospitality, online listing platforms, electronics manufacturing and gaming. Gupta has also received several accolades to her name and brings 14 years of experience to the firm along with three team members – a senior associate and two associates.
