Covenant Chambers has appointed former Rajah & Tann Singapore partner Ching Meng Hang as a director, effective 21 April 2026.

He spent nearly a decade at Rajah & Tann, including three years as a partner, before joining Covenant Chambers.

Ching specialises in high-value commercial and construction disputes across Greater China and Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on international arbitration. He also sits on the Reserve Panel of Arbitrators at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and the Panel of Arbitrators at the Hainan International Arbitration Court.

“As an international arbitrator, Meng Hang can act either as counsel for our international clients or arbitrator. His experience in high-value commercial and construction disputes complements our firm’s practice,” managing director Ee Yang Lee told Asia Business Law Journal.

Lee added that the firm planned to continue expanding, particularly into new practice areas.

“We are actively looking at expanding our firm’s capabilities into untapped practice areas and are on the lookout for practitioners who believe in our model and will complement our set of disputes and transactional partners,” he said.
