Clyde & Co has brought in Jessica Thurtell as a partner in its Sydney office to bolster its insurance practice.
Thurtell joins the firm from DLA Piper, where she spent nearly two years as a senior associate.
“Her arrival underlines our commitment to the continued growth of our insurance offering and services to clients, with four partner and two special counsel appointments in our specialist insurance practice over the past few months,” Rebecca Kelly, Australia managing partner, said.
Specialising in life insurance and financial lines, Thurtell particularly focuses on defence work in the management liability space. She also has experience across lines of business and in handling litigation for large insurers.
Her appointment follows the recent arrival of Janine Clark, a casualty law specialist, and Yvonne Lam and Malcolm Wood, who focus on corporate insurance and regulatory matters, as partners at Clyde & Co.
