Dentons Rodyk has appointed John Goulios as a partner to strengthen its insurance practice in Singapore, Asia-Pacific and globally.
He joins from DLA Piper, where he served as the global co-chair of the insurance sector and previously led the firm’s Singapore office as managing partner.
“His hire is expected to elevate not only the volume of insurance work undertaken by Dentons, but also the variety, value, complexity and quality of the matters on which the Firm is instructed,” Gerald Singham, Dentons’ global vice chair and Asean CEO, told Asia Business Law Journal.
Drawing on his 30 years of experience, Singham added that Goulios will focus on supporting blue-chip clients across matters involving financial exposure and cross-border regulatory and coverage challenges.
On a broader level, Goulios is expected to play a “leading role in advising clients on high-value, complex insurance and reinsurance matters, including claims, disputes and investigations, as well as transactional, regulatory and compliance work”.
