Clifford Chance and Lee and Li is advising Delivery Hero on the sale of its foodpanda transport business in Taiwan to Grab for USD600 million.
Singapore managing partner Valerie Kong led the Clifford Chance transaction team, with support from counsel Ivan Chan, senior associates George Lau and Cecilia Chan, and a broader group across the Lion City, Hong Kong, London and Dusseldorf.
Taiwanese law firm Lee and Li advised Delivery Hero on Taiwanese law, while JP Morgan acted as the financial adviser.
The deal between Delivery Hero and Grab is structured as an all-cash transaction on a cash-free, debt-free basis, and sees Grab expand to its first market outside Southeast Asia.
Subject to regulatory approvals, the transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026.
