Arjun Chaturvedi has transitioned from the edtech sector to take on the role of legal head of Global Capability Centre (GCC) India at Nielsen.
Chaturvedi has more than 15 years of experience in legal leadership, strategy, ethics, and compliance having worked across sectors with startups and global conglomerates, both listed and unlisted. He has also been involved in some of the country’s largest fundraising transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.
Previously, Chaturvedi held the post of vice president-legal and compliance at Lead School where he oversaw various matters, including its acquisition of Pearson’s K-12 learning business in India. In his current role, he will oversee legal function of a GCC, which is a global capability centre in India.
During his career, Chaturvedi has played a key role in major fundraising transactions and mergers and acquisitions, including public issues of USD2 billion, acquisitions totalling around USD5 billion, and capital raising through equity, debt and hybrid instruments. His work has also involved cross-border partnerships and regulatory filings in multiple jurisdictions across South Asia, Europe, Africa and Singapore.
Chaturvedi’s expertise extends to ethics and governance, banking law, mergers and acquisitions, and data privacy. He has held positions at Tata Steel and Au Finance.
