Withers KhattarWong, the Singapore member of international law firm Withers, has strengthened its corporate practice with the recruitment of Gary Beh as a partner.

“With the recovery of transaction volume in the region, we are seeing a growing demand for expertise in M&A and private equity, particularly in sectors such as technology, financial services, renewables, digital infrastructure and real estate,” Daniel Yong, joint managing partner of the Singapore office, told Asia Business Law Journal.

Beh joins Withers KhattarWong from Linklaters where he worked as a counsel, bringing experience in M&A, private equity and regulatory compliance. He has also previously worked at Allen & Gledhill as a senior associate. His expertise spans multiple sectors, including technology, financial services, energy and infrastructure.

Yong added that Beh’s appointment was timely as it came when Southeast Asia’s M&A landscape had been witnessing strong deal activity. “We see tremendous synergy in adding Gary to a regional team that is already servicing corporate buyers and sellers, private fund managers, and sophisticated private clients and family offices in executing cross-border transactions in Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Tokyo, India and other emerging markets,” said Yong.
