International law firm White & Case has announced it will conclude its exclusive association with Witara Cakra Advocates in Indonesia, effective 1 May 2025.

A spokesperson for White & Case told Asia Business Law Journal that the firm “will no longer have a dedicated presence on the ground in Indonesia … We have decided to focus our Indonesia work on our established and successful Indonesia practice, in which lawyers based in our Singapore office, in particular, have played a key role for many years.”

Despite this change, White & Case has reaffirmed its commitment to the Indonesian market, where it has been active for more than four decades. The firm will continue to advise clients on a wide range of matters, including capital markets, corporate transactions, finance, projects, restructurings, disputes and international trade.

The team handling White & Case’s Indonesia-related work includes Singapore-based partners Alexander McMyn, Jonathan Olier and Kaya Proudian.

Witara Cakra Advocates has not provided comments.
