Tokyo International Law Office has hired Earl Rivera-Dolera as a partner as the firm sees growing demand on international arbitrations.

Koki Yamada, managing partner at Tokyo International, said: “As many important cross-border disputes in Asia are being resolved by international arbitrations, we see growing demand from our clients.”

Rivera-Dolera was a partner and head of international arbitration at Frasers Law Company. She has arbitration experience in international commercial and investment treaty matters, as well as mediation and cross-border litigation. She has acted in jurisdictions including Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, the US, Japan and the UK.

Her background includes leading arbitration tribunals and serving as sole or co-arbitrator in cases across India, Singapore, Philippines, Vietnam, Korea, Japan and Hong Kong. Additionally, Rivera-Dolera has played a critical role in ad hoc arbitrations and construction project dispute boards. Her mediation practice extends to key hubs such as New York, Singapore and Vietnam.

In September 2024, Tokyo International also hired Makiko Kawamura to establish a tax practice and added construction and project development partner Hojung Jun.
