Paul Hastings has hired Sungjin Kang as an energy and infrastructure-focused partner in Seoul to strengthen the firm’s capabilities in advising on domestic and international projects and project financing.
Kang joined the firm from White & Case, where he served as a partner from September 2021 to December 2025. Before that, he was a partner at Latham & Watkins for more than a decade. During his time at White & Case and Latham & Watkins, Kang advised clients, including Korea Midland Power and POSCO Engineering, on the development and financing of a solar power plant in Boulder City, Nevada.
Kang has been admitted to the New York and California bars since 1998 and 1999, respectively, and has served as a registered foreign legal consultant in Korea since 2016.
