Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has appointed Marshall Bromwich as its new Australia country head and Daniel Lin as an energy and infrastructure partner based in Sydney and Tokyo.

Bromwich, who will succeed Alison Deitz on 1 June 2026, currently leads the firm’s corporate team in Australia, heads its consumer markets practice and spearheads its APAC corporate strategic initiative.

He specialises in structuring, documenting and managing a wide range of transactions involving the sale or purchase of franchise networks, capital raisings, IPOs, joint ventures and other private equity transactions.

Bromwich will continue to lead the corporate practice alongside his new role.

“As Australia country head, Marshall will focus on continuing to embed that integration, supporting our partners and teams to deliver seamless, cross-border support to clients and ensuring the Australian practice continues to grow in a way that is aligned with our wider Asia-Pacific priorities,” Peter Scott, managing partner, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific (EMEAPAC), told Asia Business Law Journal.

Lin joins from Sidley Austin, where he spent more than eight years as a partner in the firm’s Tokyo office.

He advises on energy, infrastructure and general corporate transactions across Japan, Southeast Asia, the Americas and Europe. His expertise further extends to the development, funding, acquisition and disposal of energy and infrastructure assets, including digital infrastructure, conventional power and renewable energy assets.

“His ability to work seamlessly across Sydney and Tokyo, coupled with his background advising on outbound and inbound Japan-related investments, strengthens our existing capability and enhances the cross border support we can offer to clients investing in energy and infrastructure assets,” Scott said.
