Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) has appointed Paul Coggins as a partner in its Tokyo office to strengthen its Asia-Pacific maritime offering.
Coggins rejoins WFW after more than 15 years at Norton Rose Fulbright, where he was a partner and head of the firm’s maritime practice in Japan. Prior to joining Norton Rose Fulbright, he spent four years with WFW.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Paul back to WFW. His deep knowledge of the maritime market and ability to navigate complex transactions will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our presence in Asia and deliver exceptional service to our clients,” WFW global maritime sector head George Macheras said.
As a specialist in maritime law, Coggins advises leading commercial banks, export credit agencies and sponsors on a range of financing structures, including complex cross-border projects, asset-based leasing and debt facilities.
