French international firm LPA Law has expanded its Asian footprint by integrating with APFL Partners Vietnam, another international law firm with offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the LPA, the move reflects the firm’s commitment to supporting cross-border investment and reinforces its position as the leading French-speaking law firm in the region.

“The integration of APFL Partners Vietnam into LPA Law is part of LPA Law’s international strategy of strengthening its presence in Asia and supporting clients in their cross-border investments,” a spokesperson for the firm told Asia Business Law Journal.

The joining of APFL Partners to LPA Law is an initiative conducted by LPA Singapore and LPA Tokyo. Following the integration, LPA Law and APFL Partners will operate as one firm in Vietnam under LPA Law, with Arnaud Bourrut-Lacouture becoming the managing partner of APFL Partners in Vietnam on top of his current position of co-managing partner of LPA Singapore.

Nicolas Audier, founder and former managing partner of APFL Partners, will continue to support the firm as senior legal counsel.

LPA Law has more than 270 professionals across 14 offices. With the integration, the firm now has 50 multilingual lawyers across Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Singapore, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
