Clifford Chance has added M&A partner Jeff Schrepfer to the Tokyo office to bolster the firm’s US law capabilities for Japanese clients engaged in outbound transactions.
Schrepfer brings more than 20 years of experience handling cross-border M&A transactions in Japan. His expertise spans key industries, including semiconductors, energy, health and life sciences and automotive. He worked at Morrison & Foerster for nearly 20 years, starting as an associate and later becoming a partner, before moving to Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman as a partner.
He represented Renesas in its USD6.7 billion acquisition of Nasdaq-listed Integrated Device Technology. He also advised Nomura Research Institute on its acquisition of Core BTS from Tailwind Capital.
