Jingtian & Gongcheng expands its Beijing team with the addition of partner Zhao Hongying.
The IP specialist, with around 10 years of experience in this field, is a qualified patent attorney, and has been advising clients on patent applications, invalidations, analysis and litigation.
Zhao is skilled in handling IP matters involving telecommunications, power electronics, artificial intelligence and semiconductors. She has represented Samsung in patent disputes against Huawei and Ericsson.
Before joining Jingtian & Gongcheng, Zhao had practised at IP-focused law firms and companies including Wanhuida Intellectual Property, Liu Shen & Associates, and Quandashi, an online trademark search and registration platform, where she was a partner.
Aside from Mandarin, Zhao is proficient in both English and Korean and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering. Before entering the legal industry, she was a research and development engineer at LG Electronics.
