The Chongqing-headquartered Baijus Law Firm has extended its reach to Shanghai a month after the launch of its Beijing branch, marking a significant step in its bid for a nationwide presence.
Led by director Lu Bijing, the Shanghai branch currently comprises six partners and 20 lawyers. It primarily focuses on criminal defence, government consulting, civil and commercial dispute resolution, finance and insurance, real estate, securities, and intellectual property.
Sun Yu, the founding partner at Baijus, emphasised that the growth of large-scale law firms was still in its initial stages, with their competitive edge becoming increasingly pronounced. In light of this, Baijus has strategically positioned itself for national expansion, with Beijing and Shanghai serving as pivotal locations.
In late June, Baijus initiated its national expansion by establishing a branch in Beijing, with plans to further expand its presence to key cities across the country within the next three to five years.
