Jia Yuan Law Offices has expanded the Shanghai and Hong Kong team with the recruitment of Daisy Qi as senior partner and head of the investment funds department and Wang Tiantian as a partner.
Qi is a New York and China-qualified lawyer who has been practising for nearly 20 years. She has advised companies including Sequoia Capital, China Great Wall Asset Management, Tencent, CICC, Blackstone and KKR on establishing and operating China and overseas funds. She is well versed in venture capital funds, private equity funds, merger and acquisition funds, S funds and more.
Before joining Jia Yuan, Qi was a partner at Allen & Overy (now A&O Shearman) and Han Kun Law Offices.
Wang is a contentious and non-contentious financial regulatory specialist, who has advised clients on derivatives, repurchase transactions and securities lending. Cross-border financial investment channels and data transmission are also right up her alley. On top of that, Wang can advise on offshore debt restructuring.
Before joining Jia Yuan, Wang was a counsel at Lang Yue Law Firm, A&O’s joint operation office, and later became a partner at YaoWang Law Firm.
