Jia Yuan Law Offices has hired Echo Shen as a partner at its Hong Kong office to strengthen its capabilities in IPOs in the city, cross-border transactions and international capital markets.
With nine years of practice experience, Shen focuses on offshore capital markets, advising issuers and sponsors on complex transactions. She has led or played key roles in numerous HKEX main board listings, with experience across the full lifecycle of such deals.
Before joining Jia Yuan, Shen was a counsel at Haiwen & Partners’ Hong Kong office. Prior to that, she practised at Loeb & Loeb, Morrison Foerster and Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer.
Her representative work includes advising SF Holding on its HKEX listing, the second-largest IPO in Hong Kong in 2024. She also worked on the Hong Kong IPOs of companies such as CARsgen Therapeutics, Haixi Pharmaceutical, LEPU ScienTech Medical Technology, AuGroup, Xunce Technology and TS Lines.
Yan Yu, director and founding partner of Jia Yuan, said in a press release that Shen’s arrival marked an important step in building the firm’s Hong Kong capital markets team. It would further enhance the resources allocated to each project and enable the firm to continue delivering high-quality legal services to clients, she said.
