Jia Yuan Law Offices recently expanded its cross-border finance team in Hong Kong and Beijing with the addition of four capital markets lawyers from international law firms. Among them is Jennifer Ng, who joins as a partner and the rest take on roles as counsel.
Ng brings more than 15 years of experience to the PRC firm. Before her latest role, she was a counsel at Davis Polk where she advised tech, healthcare and retail companies on Hong Kong IPOs.
Her notable deals include bubble tea maker Chabaidao’s HKD2.5 billion IPO and Horizon Robotics’ HKD5.4 billion Hong Kong listing. Earlier in her career, Ng was an associate at Shearman & Sterling (now A&O Shearman) and later a partner at Taylor Wessing’s Hong Kong branch.
Aside from Ng, the three other capital markets-focused counsel are: Jenny Ho, former associate at Davis Polk; Zheng Xu, ex-associate at Skadden; and Guan Weina, previously with A&O Shearman.
Wanda Woo, Jia Yuan’s Hong Kong-based senior partner, said: “With the arrival of these four specialists, Jia Yuan Hong Kong is capitalising on the robust growth of the city’s capital markets — reflecting our vision and momentum for accelerated development in Hong Kong.”
