The International Trademark Association (INTA) is set to host a table topic session on 5 May 2026 as part of its four-day annual meeting at Excel London to focus on the complexities of managing intellectual property (IP) in the Southeast Asian market.
The session, titled “Building IP Portfolios Across ASEAN: Strategies for Global Brand Success”, will run from 12.30pm to 2pm, UK time. The discussion will be moderated by Pawarisa Suwannachote, a partner at ZICOlaw in Thailand, who is also a member of the INTA’s brand and sustainability committee.
The upcoming session aims to provide practical insights for in-house counsel and legal practitioners navigating IP portfolios across Southeast Asia and other emerging markets. During the session, participants will share pragmatic strategies for overcoming common challenges in registrations, renewals and portfolio audits. They will also explore best practices for aligning regional filings with global strategies, minimising risks and managing budgets effectively while balancing efficiency with specific local requirements.
