Key industry issues took centre stage at the In-House Counsel Forum (IHCF) networking event held in the aT Centre in Seoul on 25 June 2026, which drew 200 attendees.
IHCF members, private practice lawyers, legaltech professionals and law students were among the attendees at the event, entitled Legal Connect.
The event provided a platform for in-house counsel to discuss key issues, with a particular focus on the integration and use of AI within the legal sector.
Guest speaker Pascal Rosier, managing director for North Asia at LexisNexis, identified a growing disparity. The rapid acceleration of regulatory compliance and AI management demands on in-house counsel had been outpacing current human resource growth, Rosier said.
In another session, board-certified psychiatrist SungWon Lee, focused on the importance of fostering a culture of mental health support for legal practitioners, who often faced significant work-related stress.
The event also featured various activities, including games, quizzes and a raffle, designed to facilitate networking among attendees.
Legal Connect was held as part of the three-day Law Expo Seoul 2026, which the IHCF co-hosted.
An IHCF official said the event, held from 24 to 26 June 2026, saw 6,713 registrations.
