Hui Zhong Law Firm has hired partner Zhou Xi and counsel Wu Chenfei at its Beijing headquarters and Shanghai office, respectively, further strengthening the firm’s commercial litigation and international arbitration practice.
Zhou brings 24 years of experience in domestic and cross-border commercial litigation, arbitration and complex commercial dispute resolution. His expertise spans contract disputes, trade secrets infringement, product liability, corporate equity and control disputes.
Before joining Hui Zhong, Zhou was a partner at JunHe and FenXun Partners. Earlier, he practised at Zhong Lun Law Firm, with all three roles based in Beijing.
Currently, he also serves as an arbitrator at the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, specialising in technology contracts, as well as company, contract and product quality.
Zhou has represented Sinopec in a major trade secret infringement case involving a large chemical facility, and has secured a favourable judgment for US giant General Electricin a trade secrets dispute.
He also has extensive experience in product liability and antitrust litigation related to standard essential patents, with clients including IBM, Siemens, and international automotive and pharmaceutical companies.
With eight years of practice experience, Wu focuses on cross-border and domestic commercial dispute resolution. She specialises in legal disputes related to corporate governance, including shareholder rights protection and control disputes, and is experienced in antitrust and trade secrets matters.
Prior to joining Hui Zhong, she worked at FenXun Partners’ Beijing and Shanghai offices, where she advised multinational companies and well-known listed companies on cross-border and complex civil and commercial cases.
Hui Zhong said in a press release that the two hires further strengthen the firm’s ability to handle highly complex commercial disputes. Their expertise, particularly in intellectual property litigation involving trade secrets and other major commercial disputes, aligns closely with Hui Zhong’s practice focus.
