Han Kun Law Offices has appointed Joanne Loi as a partner at its Hong Kong branch, further strengthening the firm’s capital markets practice.
Loi brings more than 15 years of experience in capital markets, M&A and corporate and commercial law. She focuses on compliance and post-listing transactional matters for listed companies.
Prior to joining Han Kun, she served as the head of compliance at the Hong Kong branch of Commerce & Finance Law Offices. Earlier in her career, she practised at the Hong Kong offices of several international firms, including Eversheds Sutherland, Sidley Austin, Appleby and Skadden.
Loi’s clients span a wide range of industries, including technology, biopharmaceuticals, logistics, financial services, retail, real estate, mining, energy and manufacturing. She previously advised Geekplus, the first H-share listed company to adopt a weighted voting rights structure, on compliance and corporate governance matters.
In a press release, Han Kun said Loi’s appointment would further enhance the firm’s capabilities in listed company compliance and ongoing regulatory matters, while creating synergies with its existing capital markets practice and strengthening its overall listed company service platform.
