Partners Wang Yingying and Tan Suyin will relocate to Fangda Partners’ first branch in Singapore, joining new partner Ivy Liu.
The new office aims to assist clients with international operations as many of the firm’s long-serving clients use the Lion City “as an international hub to expand their operations globally”.
Wang, who will lead the Singapore office as a managing partner, will also be based in Shanghai. She has been a partner at Fangda since 2002.
The dual-qualified lawyer in China and New York specialises in real estate, construction and infrastructure projects. She has 30 years of experience in the legal industry and has advised the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government on the bidding and construction of the Pudong airport’s first phase runway and terminal.
Tan, also based in Beijing, has long been advising Southeast Asian, Indian and Chinese companies in setting up joint ventures, M&A, PE/VC, financing and restructuring. She is qualified in Singapore, New York and the UK.
