India continues to be a land of contrasts, rapidly developing, richly diverse, dynamic country which is a blend of ancient traditions and contemporary advancements, characterized by a growing economy, significant technological progress, a vibrant democracy with an increasing global influence. Its growth model relies on domestic consumption which distinguishes it from other Asian export-dependent economies. This, in turn, provides a buffer against global economic shocks. There is palpable energy everywhere and passion is rampant, fire in the belly is characterised in overt and covert ways.
The IPBA Annual Meeting and Conference offers an opportunity to discuss topical matters affecting the APAC region in a friendly, collegial atmosphere with abundant networking opportunities.
The theme of the Conference, The Future of Law: Agility, Creativity & Change, could not be timely. Recently, there has been a catalytic shift in the legal industry, driven by rapid adoption of generative AI. It is now more than evident that agility and creativity combined with the speed with which law firms and professionals across different genres of legal practice embrace change will determine future growth and success.
