Duan & Duan Law Firm has added four partners — Shi Qingzheng, Chen Bingbin, Tang Jiawei and Zhai Min — to its Shanghai headquarters, further strengthening its dispute resolution and related practice areas.

Shi joins as an equity partner, having previously served as executive director at Guoshi Law Firm. Shi focuses on the defence of duty-related crimes and major, complex commercial criminal cases, and is also well versed in regulatory investigations. He has advised several listed companies and their controlling shareholders in mitigating criminal risks arising from alleged corporate misconduct.

Chen joins as a senior partner from Ming&Sun Partners, where he held the same position. Earlier in his career, he practised at Zhenghan Law Firm. He specialises in civil and commercial dispute resolution, with expertise in commercial contract disputes, real estate contract disputes, high-net-worth wealth disputes and family property disputes.

His former clients include the Shanghai Jing’an District Education Bureau, the Shanghai Jing’an District Science and Technology Commission, SPD Group, the Shanghai branch of Agricultural Bank of China and Ping An Bank, and Honeywell.

Tang joins as a senior partner, having previously practised at Hui Ye Law Firm, where he served as a partner since 2021. Earlier in his career, he worked at Yingke Law Firm and served as in-house counsel at a foreign-invested enterprise. He focuses on complex civil and commercial disputes, insurance and quasi-financial matters, investment and M&A transactions, and non-performing asset recovery.

Zhai also joins as a senior partner. She moves from Sunhold Law Firm, where she had been a partner since 2017. Prior to that, she practised at Hengtai Law Offices, DongXin Law Firm and DeBund Law Offices. She has extensive experience in dispute resolution, intellectual property, equity structuring, compliance reviews, corporate governance and M&A, and has advised clients in industries including hotel management, education and training, catering, apparel, exhibitions and retail.
