Shanghai-headquartered Dehehantong Law Offices has opened a branch in Hangzhou, marking the firm’s 17th office and expanding its presence in the Yangtze River Delta.

The firm already has offices in cities across the Yangtze River Delta, including Ningbo, Wuxi, Taizhou, Changzhou, Hefei and Wuhu.

Zhang Hengtong, founding partner of Dehehantong, said at the branch’s opening ceremony: “As a core hub of the Yangtze River Delta and a leading area for both the digital economy and private enterprise, Hangzhou offers a high-quality, law-based business environment and a broad market for legal services, making it a key location in the firm’s strategic expansion.”

The Hangzhou office is led by Zhou Wang, formerly chair of the management committee at Zhejiang-based Angmai Law Firm.

The new office will focus on corporate and commercial matters, general legal counsel services, distressed assets and debt restructuring, labour arbitration and dispute resolution, as well as criminal defence and corporate compliance.
