Jakarta-based ATD Law in association with Mori Hamada (ATD Mori Hamada) has launched dispute resolution and antitrust, as well as competition practices by onboarding new partner Dyah Paramita from HHP Law Firm.
Managing partner Abadi Abi Tisnadisastra told Asia Business Law Journal that his firm sought to address the increasing demand for sophisticated legal services in dispute resolution and antitrust for multinational corporations, major local companies, financial institutions and entities with cross-border disputes and regulatory matters.
Hiring Paramita, previously an associate partner at HHP Law Firm, to ATD Mori Hamada represented a strategic move to expand its capabilities in dispute resolution, as well as to strengthen its antitrust practice area, Tisnadisastra added.
“Her expertise will enable us to better serve our clients’ needs in complex disputes and regulatory matters, thereby strengthening our presence and competitive edge in the Indonesian legal market,” said Tisnadisastra.
Licensed to practise in Indonesia and England and Wales, Paramita began her legal career as an associate at Assegaf Hamzah & Partners in 2011. Earlier in her legal career, she also practised as an associate at Herbert Smith Freehills’ Indonesia association firm Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung, and later a senior associate at Hogan Lovells DNFP in Jakarta.
For close to 15 years, she has been advising on arbitration, litigation, regulatory enforcement and investigations, focusing particularly on cross-border disputes with cross-sector specialisation in antitrust and competition, defence and other matters.
Tisnadisastra described Paramita’s role as pivotal in building and leading the firm’s new dispute resolution as well as antitrust and competition practices.
“Dyah will contribute to various strategic initiatives across the firm, leveraging her expertise to enhance our regional and global capabilities in dispute resolution,” said Tisnadisastra.
