Ex-Korean Tax Law Association head lands senior role at YK

Mansoo Han, a tax law veteran with more than 40 years of legal practice in South Korea and a former president of the Tax Law Association, has joined Seoul-based YK Law Firm as a representative attorney.

Han was most recently an attorney at Kim & Chang, where he first joined in 1983 and practised for 24 years in total during three different periods. As a tax law veteran, Han specialises in areas covering international taxation, customs and foreign exchange as well as corporate advisory and antitrust.

Before his recent move to YK Law Firm, which was founded in 2012 and currently has 300 lawyers, Han has also practised as an attorney at Yulchon and a senior adviser at Deloitte Anjin. In 2013, he was a candidate for the head of South Korea’s Fair Trade Commission, the country’s antitrust regulator.
