Assegaf Hamzah & Partners and Ginting & Reksodiputro in association with A&O Shearman have advised on Indika Energy’s USD100 million 8.75% senior note issuance to fund a gold mining project in Indonesia.
The notes, maturing in 2029, will be consolidated and form a single class with Indika’s existing USD350 million and USD105 million senior notes due in 2029, issued on 7 May 2024 and 3 July 2024, respectively.
Assegaf Hamzah & Partners counselled Indika, with partner Renaldi Zulkarnain leading the transaction team.
Ginting & Reksodiputro in association with A&O Shearman advised the initial purchaser. The deal team included partners Mohammad Andrew and Kyungwon Lee, regional co-head of US capital markets and global equity capital markets, alongside counsel Hae-Ran Song, associate Deborah Victoria and senior legal assistant Derek Perriam.
The gold mining project in South Sulawesi province falls under a gold mining concession owned by Masmindo Dwi Area, an Indonesian mining company and wholly owned subsidiary of Indika.
