Withers welcomes private client and tax partner Laurence Ho back in its Hong Kong office, along with a special counsel, a senior associate and an associate.

Jay Dinwoodie, CEO of Withers’ private client and tax division, said: “The addition of his team adds further strengths to our international US-qualified private client and tax practice … Their collective expertise will be instrumental as we continue to lead in this complex area of law, serving an international clientele.”

The team’s addition positions Withers as the law firm with the largest number of US-qualified private client and tax lawyers serving the Asia-Pacific region, including teams in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo.

Ho is qualified in New York and Massachusetts, and specialises in international tax, trust and estate planning. He rejoins Withers from Loeb & Loeb’s Hong Kong team, where he has been a partner since 2020. Prior to Loeb & Loeb, Ho served as a partner at Stephenson Harwood in 2017, after an almost decade-long tenure at Withers.
