Quartet advises on TYK Medicines’ chapter 18A debut on HKEX

翱’惭别濒惫别苍测, JunHe, Morrison Foerster (MoFo) and Jingtian & Gongcheng have assisted on TYK Medicines’ HKD579 million (USD74.3 million) debut on the HKEX in the biggest IPO launched through chapter 18A of the Hong Kong Listing Rules.

Chapter 18A allows biotechnology companies without revenue or profit to go public.

翱’惭别濒惫别苍测’s corporate partners Zhu Ke and Geng Ke acted as the issuer’s Hong Kong and US legal counsel.

TYK Medicines appointed JunHe’s team to advise on PRC and IP law in China and the US. Partners Bella Chen, Wang Yi and George Shang led the team, with the assistance of partner Zhou Fang. Aside from the team, partner Gerry Zhao advised on patent matters, partner Gu Yu assisted with data compliance issues, and partners Shen Cheng and Zheng Yu advised on litigation and compliance.

MoFo’s Shanghai-based partner Huang Ke and Hong Kong-based partner Vivian Yiu advised sole sponsor CITIC Securities on Hong Kong and US law, while Jingtian & Gongcheng acted as PRC counsel.

TYK Medicines is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and acquiring small-molecule drugs for the treatment of cancers, especially lung cancer. It is currently constructing production facilities in Huzhou city in Zhejiang province, with commercial-scale production expected to begin by the end of 2025.
