Squire Patton Boggs has launched a dedicated Korea desk to be led by partner Sam Song. The new desk will support the firm’s Korean clients on international matters and assist multinational companies with interests in the South Korean market.
Song told Asia Business Law Journal that both inbound and outbound activity in the country had been expanding.
“In recent years, we have seen Korea-related work, both inbound and outbound, continue to grow, so we wanted a clearer, more integrated way to deliver support,” said Song.
“Our focus is on serving clients more broadly through a virtual Korea desk that can mobilise SPB’s global resources and work collaboratively with highly capable Korean law firms based on client need.”
Squire Patton Boggs’ Korea desk will provide advisory support across a wide range of areas, including cross-border transactions, international disputes, regulatory and compliance issues, project development, trade and investment, and government relations.
