Soemadipradja & Taher has launched a leadership reshuffle with partner Ardian Deny Sidharta appointed to take the helm as the Indonesian law firm’s new managing partner.
Sidharta succeeds partner Retno Muljosantoso, who has stepped down after serving as the firm’s managing partner for five years since 2020. He will work alongside Sidharta in his role as deputy managing partner.
Having practised at Soemadipradja & Taher since 1999, Sidharta has been representing both Indonesian and foreign clients in matters relating to multiple areas including anti-bribery and antitrust, environmental law and state finance law.
Domestically, Sidharta has advised an Indonesian state-owned enterprise in the tourism industry on project financing via offshore loans and general corporate services for developing tourism resorts and special economic zones throughout the country. On the cross-border front, he has assisted a Korean multinational construction company in executing an engineering, procurement and construction contract (EPC) for two large electricity generation power plants in Java.
Founded in 1991, Soemadipradja & Taher currently has 11 partners, one counsel and 13 associates.
