The well-being chapter of the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association held a “Well-Being Wednesday” luncheon on 15 May 2024, focusing on conflict management and leveraging cultural intelligence at The Exchange in Marina View.
The session featured Catherine Wu, lecturer at Nanyang Business School, who provided insights into how lawyers and compliance officers in the Asia-Pacific region can better manage workplace stress and conflict by understanding and applying cultural intelligence.
Wu discussed how cultural awareness and conflict management skills can reduce workplace anxiety and improve professional interactions in multicultural settings.
Participants gained a deeper understanding of how cultural intelligence shapes conflict management styles, and were left with practical tools to enhance their competency in multicultural environments. The intimate gathering not only focused on skills development but also aimed at contributing to the well-being of individuals and organisations by promoting stronger intercultural relations.
