American firm O’Melveny & Myers has hired John Curran as corporate finance partner for the Singapore office to bolster cross-border capabilities and expand its presence across Asia.

Curran has joined O’Melveny from Kirkland & Ellis’ Hong Kong office, where he was a debt finance partner for two years. Prior to that, he spent four years at Allen & Overy (now A&O Shearman) in Singapore and two years with the firm in the UK.

He has experience advising private equity sponsors, strategic investors, corporates, arrangers and credit funds on complex financing transactions across the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in Southeast Asia and India.
