Lee & Ko has strengthened its dispute resolution practice with the addition of international arbitration veteran Park Eun Young as an attorney to lead the firm’s international disputes group.
Park, whose legal career spans more than 30 years, left his role as a founding co-chair of Kim & Chang’s international arbitration and cross-border litigation group in 2022 to set up and run his own practice, Park Arbitration Chambers, as an independent arbitrator. In the same year, Park also joined a London-based arbitration management support service, Arbitra, as an arbitrator.
As a specialist in international commercial and investment treaty arbitration, Park is a former vice president of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and a founding co-chair of the International Bar Association’s (IBA) Asia Pacific Arbitration Group, among his other high-level affiliations.
In his legal career in the early 1990s, Park served as a judge at Seoul District Court and joined Kim & Chang in 1997, where he practised for more than 25 years.
Park’s arbitration practice covers many areas including M&A, finance and insurance, energy and infrastructure as well as intellectual property.
