Kevin Nash has accepted the role of director general at the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and he will start in January 2025, transitioning from his tenure at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC).
During the past decade, Nash has been instrumental in the growth and success of the SIAC, where he served as a registrar. He led the administration of thousands of international cases and was key in revising SIAC’s institutional rules in 2013 and 2016, and forming the SIAC Investment Arbitration Rules in 2017. His oversight helped cement SIAC’s position as a global leader in dispute resolution, with his contributions extending to international arbitration forums, including the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law working groups on dispute settlement and investor-state arbitration.
The Canadian-qualified barrister will succeed Jacomijn van Haersolte-van Hof, who has served as LCIA’s director general since 2014.
The SIAC has announced that Vivekananda Neelakantan, currently deputy registrar, will succeed Nash as registrar.
