JunHe has launched its first office in Chongqing, marking its 15th worldwide, to collaborate with its Chengdu branch in meeting the demand for high-end legal services from clients in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle in southwest China.
Partner Lawrence Ho, who specialises in capital markets and was previously based in Shanghai and Hong Kong, heads the Chongqing office. He will build a team that focuses on providing capital markets, M&A and dispute resolution services at the new branch.
Its neighbouring branch in Chengdu, established in 2017, has seen rapid business growth in the Chengdu-Chongqing region in recent years, with revenue continuing to increase.
JunHe’s managing partner Warren Hua said: “The newly set-up Chongqing office will be working along with the Chengdu office to offer a more robust legal service for the Chengdu-Chongqing region. Chongqing, as an economic powerhouse in southwest China, [and] holds enormous potential and opportunities.”
