Four firms have advised on palm oil producer Johor Plantations Group’s MYR735 million (USD157 million) IPO on the Bursa Malaysia Securities main market, making it the largest listing in Malaysia since 2022.

Mah-Kamariyah & Philip Koh counselled Johor Plantations on Malaysian law, while Latham & Watkins advised on US federal securities and English law with its team led by Singapore partners Sharon Lau and Stacey Wong.

Christopher & Lee Ong partners Annette Soh and Daphne Lam led the team advising on Malaysian law for the syndicate of banks led by RHB Investment Bank. Amit Singh, head of South and Southeast Asia capital markets at Linklaters, counselled on international securities law, with the support of Joseph Wolpin.

Johor Plantations will use a portion of the proceeds to develop an integrated sustainable palm oil complex and support replanting activities.
