Around 90 trademark practitioners attended a one-day conference organized by the International Trademark Association (INTA) on 11 February in Gurgaon.
The keynote speaker, Subhinder Singh Prem, managing director of Adidas Group (India), set the tone for the day, providing insights into how companies perceive brands. Prem shared his experience of building the Reebok brand in India – currently one of the country’s most valuable brands.
Five panel discussions followed. The panellists included Justice Ravindra Bhat of Delhi High Court; Bernard O’Connor, a partner at NCTM Studio Legale Associato; Anthony Tong, the managing partner of Robin Bridge & John Liu; Dominic Twyford, a client director at Fitch (India); and Jyoti Sagar, managing partner of J Sagar Associates.
